An extremely limited edition of Yamazaki 18 Year Old, matured entirely in rare Japanese Oak, Mizaunara. A notoriously challenging wood, its use was pioneered at the Yamazaki distillery, with the first usage dating back to the 1940s under the direct guidance of Founder Shinjiro Torii. Through generations of expertise, the use of Mizunara has been mastered at Yamazaki, resulting in this groundbreaking release of whiskies entirely matured in this demanding oak. Expertly matured and blended to create a soft and elegant whisky with notes of sandalwood, dark cherry, cloves and coconut, as well as ripe stone fruits and a hint of incense. A truly Japanese whisky, this beautifully crafted marriage of single malts was released to celebrate the centenary of the House of Suntory.
