Made using hand picked Tempranillo grapes grown on vines over 30 years old, this is a great value red wine. Flavours of dark fruits dominate with a touch of herbs and a hint of spice on the palate. This is a versatile wine which will match with red meats, chicken or fish such as tuna.
From a 2015 vintage, which it was a very good year. It is a blend from 90% Viura and 10% Malsavia. The average vines are 42 years.The wine has been aged into American barrel for 16 months.
Colour is an intensity garnet, bright with a purple rim. Nose is open with some ripe dark fruit, floral, spice (black pepper). Palate is full body with a nice acidity, tannins are full and smooth. Smooth finish and persistent.
