All the production is situated at the East of the country, situated around Vienna (capital). The white wines are mainly from Gruner Veltliner, Roter Veltliner and Riesling grapes. These wines are fresh and mineral, always with a low alcohol content. Red wines are beautifully fruity with dark fruit characters and balanced tannins. The main grapes are Zweiglt, Blaufränkisch and Sankt Laurent. Austria is one of the emergent wine countries in the UK.
Citrus and fresh apple aromas -with also typical spicy Veltliner notes on the nose. On the palate there is good intensity of fruit, with tangy grapefruit leading to a long savoury finish with flinty, smoky notes.
Zweigelt grape is the most important red grape variety grown on Sepp Moser's Apetlon Estate. All Sepp Moser wines have been organic (and all estate wines biodynamic) since 2007.
