Austria
All the production is situated at the East of the country, situated around Vienna (capital). The white wines are mainly from Gruner Veltliner, Roter Veltliner and Riesling grapes. These wines are fresh and mineral, always with a low alcohol content. Red wines are beautifully fruity with dark fruit characters and balanced tannins. The main grapes are Zweiglt, Blaufränkisch and Sankt Laurent. Austria is one of the emergent wine countries in the UK.
