Made in a heart of Lujan de Cuyo sub region of Mendoza. Walter Bressia and Eric Monnin (winemakers) decided to produce a unoaked Malbec grape. It has a good freshness and brightness of the fruit.
The full bodied Grand Vin of the Dominus estate starts with elegant black cherry evolving towards well structured tannins. Early bottling has preserved more fruit character in this vintage. The Bordeaux style blend includes 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Cabernet Franc, 9% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot.
Classic, crisp Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc oozing aromas and flavours of Gooseberry, Passion Fruit and a grassy herbaceousness. This is way better than the majority of bulk produced NZ Sauv. Blanc and is a great price for this quality.

The Shiraz grapes were carefully fermented to avoid extracting any harsh tannins, 20% of the final blend is barrel aged. The winemaker also added 5% Malbec at the end of the whole process - a sneaky technique that gives a mulberry fruit twist on the finish.
