The full bodied Grand Vin of the Dominus estate starts with elegant black cherry evolving towards well structured tannins. Early bottling has preserved more fruit character in this vintage. The Bordeaux style blend includes 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Cabernet Franc, 9% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot.
From old vine vineyards in the Lodi region of central California. Zinfandel grapes, lightly crushed to create this blush wine.
Luscious strawberry ice cream on the nose supported by a bright, berry fruited palate and an off-dry finish.
Harvested from the largest Caberet Franc vineyard in the world, in Lodi Californa, the grapes used are 35 years old. The use of wood or oak has been removed here in order to let the flavours of the Cabernet Franc dominate. This is a smooth easy drinking wine that will match particularly well with vegetarian dishes, but can of course also be matched with lighter meats such as chicken.
