The Bordeaux blend has been copied with considerable success in many other wine regions, the ultimate compliment. The 2000 vintage was the first vintage to offer consistent quality accross both the left and right bank in a decade, with many smaller Bordeaux satellite appellations producing some of their best ever wines also. The Leoville Barton 2000 is a top wine one with an abundance of character. It is drinking now and will only develop further in years to come.
