A single cask bottling from the iconic Springbank distillery in Campbeltown, released by indie bottler Artful Dodger. A 2000 vintage matured for 18 years in a first-fill sherry hogshead, yielding just 392 bottles.
Released for the 2019 Campbeltown malt Whisky festival, Glen Scotia have taken a peated 2003 distillation and aged it for 15 years in a combination of traditional casks and finished in Guyanan Rum puncheons. A limited release of 9,500 bottles at natural cask strength of 51.3% ABV.
This peated, cask-strength single malt has been finished in casks which previously held tawny Port, imparting a plethora of fruity notes. Aged for a total of 14 years, it was released to celebrate the 2020 Campbeltown Malts festival, which sadly didn't go ahead due to Covid-19.
