FEW is one of the cult distilleries growing out of the US craft movement, and this is certainly one of the Illinois-based distillers’ more interesting releases. It’s a rye whiskey that clocks in at a bold 60.5% ABV, and is drawn from a single barrel. An excellent whiskey both for mixologists and for those who want to sip neat.

FEW & The Flaming Lips Brainville Rye Whiskey 40% (Bottle - 1/75cl)

A collaborative from FEW and the rock band The Flaming Lips, which takes its name Brainville Rye from a song off one of their albums. This rye whiskey is made using malted barley, corn, rye and French wine yeast too. 5,000 bottles were produced. 

Willett's 3 Year Old Family Estate Rye 53.7% (Bottle - 1/70cl)

The Willett family make a range of different bourbon and rye whiskies. This particular release, which is a very popular rye whiskey, utilises two of their three stills: it’s first distilled in their 60ft column still, before the copper pot still. Aged for three years, it’s bottled at 53.7% ABV.

Rebel Yell Small Batch Rye 45% (Bottle - 1/70cl)

A high Rye content here from top Kentucky distiller Heaven Hill under the "Rebel Yell" label that also produces a more wheated style of bourbon that is equally great value for money.
Not just any ordinary rye whiskey from Louisville, this is a real rebel of a Small Batch Rye. Plenty of spiced woody notes alongside some sweeter black cherry, menthol and fruity liquorice notes.

Pikesville 6 Year Old 110 Proof Straight Rye 55% (Bottle - 1/70cl)

An incredible Kentucky straight rye from Pikesville by the Heaven Hill distillery, this 6-year-old was awarded Worlds Best Rye Whiskey at the World Whiskies Awards 2016. Oh wait, and to top things off, Jim Murray gave it 97.5 points in his 2016 Whisky Bible.

From the WhistlePig distillery in Vermont, USA, comes this 10-year-old rye whiskey. They use 100% rye grain in the mash bill, resulting in an honest, punchy character with notes of toffee and oak-y spice.

The 2017 edition "The Black Prince" is the 4th release in WhistlePigs Boss Hog - and comes with the honour of having won the "Best in Show Whiskey" at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2017. The rye whiskey has been aged for 14 years before being finished unusually in Armagnac casks, and bottled at 59.6% ABV.

Notes of orange peel, white chocolate and fresh pear with cinnamon and wild fruits.
