This is the Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye Whiskey, part of the legendary Buffalo Trace Antique Collection 2017 edition. It’s named after the man who gave birth to the modern Sazerac cocktail. After phylloxera plagued France’s vineyards, Cognac was hard to come by - so he slipped in some rye whiskey instead. It’s bottled at a big and bold 63.6% ABV.

This whiskey was awarded 2019 American Rye Whiskey of the Year in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible.
