Glengoyne 36 Year Old - The Russell Family Single Cask 50.7% - (Bottle - 1/70cl)

A 36-year-old refill sherry butt from the Glengoyne Distillery, personally selected by the three generations of the Russel family - Pete, Leonard and Tom, before being bottled in 2021 with an outturn of 402 bottles. A very special release indeed, and a fabulous achievement for this family-owned distillery. A mix of strawberry and lime sherbet with stewed apples and leather pass the nose, followed by silky, rich notes of tropical fruits, chocolate and sherried spice on the palate.
