Another excellent value crowd pleaser from Les Vignerons:
Medium bodied, esasy drinking with lots of fruit. Great for informal gatherings.
A delicious, crisp and refreshing, Provence rose with red fruit character of raspberries and redcurrants. Great on its own, or with food!
Chateau Minuty has a remarkable site on the slopes of the villages of Gassin and Ramatuelle, overlooking the bay of Saint-Tropez. Château Minuty’s outstanding rosés are a blend of a majority of Grenache, the ‘king-pin varietal for rosés’, and of Tibouren, symbolic of the Saint-Tropez peninsula, a varietal which was kept in order to maintain the typical character of the wines. …
Deep ruby red in colour, with hints of purple, this is a delicious Chianti from Brunelli. Ideal for pairing with a range of dishes such as spaghetti bolognese, or along side a nice, strong cheese. This is medium-bodied and silky on the palate, packed with dark fruits and a little tannin on the finish.
This is a great value Cabernet Franc from the Loire Valley, packed with deep flavours of dark berries and a hint of violet on the nose. The palate is smooth with a rounded finish that keeps you coming back for more.
'Pour Ma Gueule' translates into English as 'for my mouth' referring to the stash of wine that the producers sometimes keep for themselves, surely only the best! Deep red in colour with tons of dark fruit on the nose. Full bodied on the palate with the dark fruits coming through and a touch of black pepper on the lengthy finish.
This is another great wine from El Campo, full of fruity blackcurrant and cherry notes, easy drinking with lots of flavour. The perfect match to your Sunday roast!
Pinotage is a classic South African variety and originates from a 1925 cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsault (known as Hermitage in South Africa). The Fairview Pinotage was primarily harvested from bush vines in Malmesbury and Agter-Paarl, some of which are over 25 years old. These older vineyards are dry farmed and the vines grow on deep soils. This is supplemented by fruit from an irrigated, younger, trellised vineyard at Fairview.
Fleurie, one of the ten crus of Beaujolais, is known for its refined and elegant wines, with refreshing red fruit flavours alongside floral notes. Perfect with white meats, salmon or tuna, and creamy sauces. This wine, from the highly rated Arenite vineyard, is richly floral with fresh berry aromas! Slightly chilled, this is a perfect summer evening red.
Spanning approximately 60 hectares, the vines at Rovereto are an average of 25 years old. The harvest is done by hand and the wine is aged for around 5 months in steel tanks, and further refined once it hits the bottle. This is an intense yet delicate wine with fresh fruit flavours such as green apple on the palate, the finish is long with a definite elegance.
