Spanning approximately 60 hectares, the vines at Rovereto are an average of 25 years old. The harvest is done by hand and the wine is aged for around 5 months in steel tanks, and further refined once it hits the bottle. This is an intense yet delicate wine with fresh fruit flavours such as green apple on the palate, the finish is long with a definite elegance.
Deep ruby red in colour, with hints of purple, this is a delicious Chianti from Brunelli. Ideal for pairing with a range of dishes such as spaghetti bolognese, or along side a nice, strong cheese. 'Pour Ma Gueule' translates into English as 'for my mouth' referring to the stash of wine that the producers sometimes keep for themselves, surely only the best! Deep red in colour with tons of dark fruit on the nose. Full bodied on the palate with the dark fruits coming through and a touch of black pepper on the lengthy finish.
Grapes were hand harvested, destalked and lightly crushed into open concrete fermenters. Manual punch downs were done three times a day during fermentation. Fermentation lasted seven days, after which the wine was pressed off the skins and transferred to old French and American barrels for malolactic fermentation and 14 months ageing.
This honeyed buttery white from sunny Californias Central valley, made from 75% Colombard and 25% Chardonnay has a lovely pear and pineapple infused nose, wityh plenty of ripe sweetness on the finish. It works well on its own or with some cheeses, cold buffets and some desserts.
