Spanning approximately 60 hectares, the vines at Rovereto are an average of 25 years old. The harvest is done by hand and the wine is aged for around 5 months in steel tanks, and further refined once it hits the bottle. This is an intense yet delicate wine with fresh fruit flavours such as green apple on the palate, the finish is long with a definite elegance.
Deep ruby red in colour, with hints of purple, this is a delicious Chianti from Brunelli. Ideal for pairing with a range of dishes such as spaghetti bolognese, or along side a nice, strong cheese. This is medium-bodied and silky on the palate, packed with dark fruits and a little tannin on the finish.
Rosso di Montalcino is the designation for second wines of producers in Brunello di Montalcino. As with Brunello, this wine is 100% Sangiovese, but there is no demand for fifty months of aging. Brunelli ages their Rosso di Montalcino for 9 months, followed by 4 months in the bottle. This is best enjoyed young to take advantage of its juicy fruit character.
