Spanning approximately 60 hectares, the vines at Rovereto are an average of 25 years old. The harvest is done by hand and the wine is aged for around 5 months in steel tanks, and further refined once it hits the bottle. This is an intense yet delicate wine with fresh fruit flavours such as green apple on the palate, the finish is long with a definite elegance.
From grapes selected from Vergelegen’s Korhaan and Niel-Suid vineyards, this botritis Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc blend is exceptionally aromatic, with tropical and zesty fruit notes. The grapes are late harvested to dry the grapes, intensifying the sugars. Beautiful to drink now bit will keep for a decade or even two. Try it with blue cheese!
