Spanning approximately 60 hectares, the vines at Rovereto are an average of 25 years old. The harvest is done by hand and the wine is aged for around 5 months in steel tanks, and further refined once it hits the bottle. This is an intense yet delicate wine with fresh fruit flavours such as green apple on the palate, the finish is long with a definite elegance.
With the backing of the Robert Burns World Federation, this is Arran distillery's blended Scotch whisky that, whilst not wholly Arran, does contain a dose of Arran malt within.
This light and aromatic whisky is considered to be an excellent introduction to the wonderful world of single malt scotch whisky. Distilled at the Isle of Arram distillery, in celebration of the famous scottish poet, Robert Burns. Also a tax collector for whisky people. International Wine & Spirit Competition 2013 - Scotch Single Malt - Island
A fantastic blended Scotch from the Ian Macleod independent bottling and blending company that sees a range of Island and Speyside malts that are all at least 12 years old being left to marry together in oak instead of from blend to bottle which is the standard practice for blends. And yes it does contain some of the famous single malt from the island of Skye and in fact if you like Talisker there is a good chance you are going to love this little bargain blend.
The now discontinued 10 year old Origin that since 2018 has been replaced by a new 10 year old with a little more peat influence. This still displays the classic soft toffee and subtle brine/coastal spray of the old core range and one that used to sell so well it was one of the top 5 selling malts in the UK. A crowd pleasing Island malt.
