2013 Guiraud 1er Cru Sauternes (Case - 12/75cl)

Made with a combination of Semillon and Sauvignon grapes, grown in 80% sandy gravel, Chateau Guiraud produces around 100,000 bottles of Sauternes per year. The grapes are hand picked and aged in both new, and previously used barrels for anywhere between 3 weeks and 2 months to ensure an intense flavour. The 2013 has a good balance of citrus flavours alongside sweetness, a good depth and a lingering finish.
