2009 Rioja Muga Prado Enea Gran Reserva (Case - 6/75cl)

The Muga Prado Enea is composed of; 80% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha and 10% Mazuelo and Graciano. The vines sit on chalky-clay and alluvial soil. The grapes used for this wine are always the last ones to be brought into the winery. The late picking ensures optimum ripening. Aging takes place, initially in oak vats for a minimum of 12 months, then a minimum of 36 months in oak casks and finally 36 months in the bottle. After cask ageing the wine is fined using fresh egg whites. Without doubt, the evoluiton of this wine is storing up some fantastic sensations.
