2009 Greywacke Marlborough Pinot Noir (Case - 12/75cl)
All the fruit was grown in Marlboroughs Southern Valleys and primarily sourced from the Yarrum Vineyard situated on the Brancott/Ben Morven ridge. The wind-blown loess soils are comprised of clay-loams with degrees of gravel. The grapes were hand harvested, de-stemmed and put into open top fermenters. The fruit was then allowed to soak on skins prior to the onset of indigenous yeast fermentation, then plunged daily by hand. After fermentation the wine was pressed, racked and filled to French oak barriques (45% new).
