Like all great creations, Hardy Cognac began with an intensely passionate individual. Anthony Hardy relocated to France in 1863 to begin his Cognac creating journey. Many years, awards and accolades later, Hardy is the producer of one of the top Cognacs on the market - and we are proud to represent them within the UK. "To open a bottle of Hardy Cognac is to discover a rare work of art."
The XO or 'Extra Old' classification states that the youngest element within this cognac must be least 6 years old, although often Hardy exceeds this requirement. This cognac has a beautiful amber like hue, the palate offers flavours of date with underlying floral hints throughout. This is incredibly smooth, and for an XO is a very reasonable price.
Maison Hardy owes its name to an authentic English gentleman, Anthony Hardy. Like any conscientious wine and spirit merchant, Hardy liked to get out of London as often as he could and head down to Charente to check on the progress of the finest Cognac crus. He finally succumbed to the region’s charms in 1863, relocating permanently and founding Maison Hardy. Today Bénédicte Hardy represents the fifth generation of Hardy Cognac makers. As Maison Hardy’s international ambassador, she has worked to build the company’s reputation in the USA. We are excited to work with Maison Hardy as exclusive agents in the UK.
