A special bottling of whisky, distilled at Carbost on the Isle of Skye. From three first fill sherry butts numbers 1361 to 1363, distilled in April 1986 and bottled in Elgin in May 2007. Region: Isle of Skye. Founded: 1830. Water Source: A burn on Cnoc nan Speireag. Owner: Diageo. Status: Operational. Colour: Golden amber. Nose: Sweet, fudge notes and a delicate fruitiness are laced with roasted malt and peat smoke aromas. Palate: Sherry initially followed by a burst of ash and bonfire embers. Spices - pepper and mustard seeds. Turning slightly medicinal. Body: Complex. Finish: Sherry with hints of peat smoke. Cask Type: First fill sherry butts.
