An interesting release from the Longrow range featuring a finish in Italian wine casks. The whisky was initially matured in Bourbon casks for 5 and a half years then finished for 18 months in Gaja Barolo casks before being bottled at natural cask strength. A melding of wine and whisky that is as unexpected as it is delicious.
