An intriguing name and an intriguing flavour. Right from the pour you'll notice the dark colouring, a result of maturing for up to seven years in Spanish oloroso sherry casks and sweet bourbon barrels. As for the taste, this 80% malt premium whiskey floats across the tongue to deliver dark, velvety fruity notes right through to the back of your throat.

Information About Bushmills

Bushmills Distillery A licence to distill in the area was granted by King James I to Sir Thomas Phillipps in 1608, and the 1608 date is printed on Bushmill's labels. The Bushmills Distillery claims to be - and almost certainly is  - the oldest licensed distillery in the world.

NOSE: big and full to start off with‚quickly becoming light with a hint of a spicy fruit cake.
TASTE: floats across your tongue to the back of your throat where it rests as a slight sherry sweetness.
FINISH: a lingering‚ smooth sweetness that flourishes into your cheeks.

Black Bush owes part of its distinctive taste to the old‚ Spanish-sherry barrels of Jerez de la Frontera - which is also home to an Irish pub called O‘Donoghue’s. They’re happy to welcome Black Bush back...drop in and say sláinte amigos!
