Due to extreme weather the McLaren Vale suffered low grape yields in 2014, however the wine quality was excellent! 20% of the fruit is dried in the Amarone manner, adding soft tannins, juicy fruit and mouth-filling textures to the wine. This is ready to drink, but could be held for a couple of years.
Mitolo wines was established in 1999 by Frank Mitolo, with acclaimed winemaker Ben Glaetzer joining as a partner in 2001.
