Joseph Drouhin's Chorey Les Beaune has become our stable House Pinot Noir, with 53 year old vines on average, there is sophistication and poise here.  The fruit is gamey heavy on the black fruits, rich and lingering on the finish. Expressive on the nose and balanced. The 2009 has good bottle age and is now really drinking well, though it will go for several years yet.

This is also ripe with a very pinot nose that complements well the round, fleshy and generous flavors that possess good mid-palate fat, all wrapped in a mouth coating and seductive finish. This could already be enjoyed if desired.

They could be enjoyed from now as they are already delicious. 2009 is showing its breed and will rightfully take its place among those vintages ending in "9" in the last century, as well as 2005, 1978, 1961...
