Grenache 50%, Roussanne 30%, Viognier 20%. Packed with fresh fruit, fragrances of linden tree and white flowers, savours of citrus, and a liveliness with enough punch that when served as an aperitif, it will tantalize our taste-buds without drowning our thirst. The fragrances evolve after the first summer towards honey and acacia notes, accentuating the suppleness of the wine. Perfect with seafood and soft cheeses.
The roots of the Domaine date back 1780 when Jean-Pierre Lafond’s great-uncle, Pascal Odoyer, Govenor of Tavel, became one of the pioneers in wine production and his estate has been handed down from generation to generation ever since. Involved in the foundation of the Tavel appellation in the 1940's the family now run by Jean-Pierre Lafond and son Pascal began selling bottled wines of Cotes du Rhone Lirac and Tavel in the late 1970's, adding the fine parcel of Chateauneuf du Pape in 2001. The property decided to go entirely organic, officially designated so in 2009.
These medal winning wines are of the highest quality in their subsequent appelations. The Tavel Rose 2010 received the Coup de Coeur in the French Guide Hachette and the Lirac Blanc won the regional trophy in the Decanter wine challenge. Robert Parker has also been very complimentary about the quality of the Chateauneuf du Pape and Cotes du Rhone in recent vintages.
The 2013 Lirac Roc-Epine Blanc is a solid effort that’s made from 50% Grenache Blanc, 30% Roussanne and 20% Viognier. Brought up all in stainless steel, it exhibits quality white peach, citrus rind and mulled pear-like aromas and flavors that give way to a medium-bodied, fruit, delicious and easy drinking white.

In Bond storage is facilitated at Octavian in Wiltshire, the U.K's premier wine storage facility. The conditions at this old munitions base, 100 metres below ground are unrivalled, offering temperature control, In Bond facility and full replacement value insurance. The wines are stored under each client's individual "Protection Plus" account number, fully labelled and can only be released or moved with his or her written instructions. No right of lien can be exercised over wines held on each client's behalf. Client's stock can be inspected, by arrangement, at any time excluding November & December.
