94-95/100 James Suckling - Château Haut Brisson is located on the limestone plateau of Saint Etienne de Lisse and the gravelly hilltops of Saint Sulpice de Faleyrens and spreads over 22 hectares. The property benefits from a diversity of terroirs of ideal exposition enjoying maximum exposure to the midday sun and excellent natural drainage conditions allowing optimum harvest. The wine is certified organic.
The vineyard is planted with 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. The wine is aged in barrel with 35% new French oak barrels, 35% with 1 year old barrel and 30% with 2 years old barrels.
A wonderful red berry precision and depth, full body, texture of fine silk. Blackberry and violet character. Hints of walnuts. So persistent. A much more refined style of Haut Brisson. First year without reserve bottling. Best ever From organically grown grapes.
